High Country Adventure

Sit back and relax in the comfort and warmth of our luxury late model Land Rover Discovery as we take you deep into all that is Criffel.  view the awe-inspiring beauty of Lake Wanaka, Lake Hawea, the Wanaka basin and the Southern Alps, from the very peak of the Criffel Range – a staggering 1300 metres above sea level. And finish with a gourmet morning or afternoon tea at one of Wanaka’s most impressive picnic spots.

  • Morning or afternoon tea provided, showcasing local produce.
  • Up to 4 people per trip, depart from Crossfire, 9am & 2pm daily.
  • Pickup available from Wanaka I-site or your accommodation 30 mins prior to departure.


Explore Tour

Enjoy an informative introduction to deer farming, beekeeping, and authentic Kiwi farm life on this 90 minute experience.  Only minutes from Wanaka, Criffel Station boasts some of most spectacular views in the region – join your guide on a fun, interactive tour and get behind the scenes on one of New Zealand’s private high country stations.

  • Tours depart daily from Crossfire Wanaka: 12pm & 2pm (weather dependent)

Enjoy exclusive access to our high country property and feel as if you are in a world of your own. Let us design the ultimate high country experience for you and your guests. All bespoke tours are tailored to the individual and could include anything from a visit to the undisturbed workings of our turn of the century goldmine, clay bird shooting from the high terraces and/or a gourmet lunch and wine experience. Travel by helicopter or our late model Land Rover Discovery.



Criffel Station reserves the right to cancel or amend any tour to suit weather conditions and farming practices, or if minimum numbers are not met. Strict safety procedures are observed at all times, however there remains an element of inherent risk. Criffel Station will not be held responsible for personal injury, loss or damage to equipment.
