Woolshed weddings:
To secure a Woolshed date, we'll need your signed hire agreement returned along with the $5,000 non-refundable deposit.

Elopement package:
We can pencil in a date for your Wanaka wedding hire at no fee and hold it for up to two weeks. To secure the date, the booking bond of $1000 excluding GST must be paid and a signed copy of your contract returned to us.

Woolshed weddings:
Yes - a $5,000 deposit secures your date on signing (non-refundable), and a separate $3,000 refundable damage bond is payable 30 days before your wedding. The damage bond is released within 10 working days after the event, once the site's been checked over.

Elopement package:
Yes, we require a refundable booking bond of $1,000 excluding GST to secure your booking. This will be returned to you in the week following your wedding.

Woolshed weddings:
Once you've booked, we'll confirm your date with a deposit paid, followed by a second payment six months out and the final balance 30 days before your wedding, along with a refundable damage bond. Ahead of your day we'll arrange a pre-booking site visit, a planning walk-through with you and your planner, and a site visit for your hire suppliers, so everyone knows the site and the plan well before you arrive.

Elopement package:
Once you have secured your chosen dates, the planning begins. Our event coordinator will work closely with you throughout the planning stages. Having been in this industry for over 20 years, we have accumulated a wealth of knowledge.

Woolshed weddings:
For weddings in the Woolshed, the shed itself is your wet-weather cover - if conditions turn, your ceremony and event simply move under cover into the Woolshed instead of the outdoor site. We agree the exact contingency plan with you and your planner at the pre-event walk-through, so everyone knows exactly what happens on the day well ahead of time.

Elopement package:
Any wedding outdoors can be tricky! If you are wanting the perfect day for your elopement, we recommend staying in Wanaka for a few days to allow for a spare weather day. This means if you have a helicopter booked that is unable to fly due to weather, we can rebook your elopement to the next best day that week. Our Luxury 4WD is also another option if the helicopters are unable to fly due to high winds.

Woolshed weddings:
The Woolshed can accommodate up to 140 guests.

Elopement package:
We fly in Squirrel Helicopters, which can seat up to 6 people dependent on weight and balance of the helicopter. Our Luxury 4WD can also seat up to 6. If you have more than 6 people within your bridal party, guests attending and vendors (don't forget to count your celebrant and photographer/videographer!), we're able to add on additional helicopters and 4WD to your package.

Woolshed weddings:
Transport isn't included in the venue hire, but because of the farm road, we strongly recommend arranging a coach or shuttle to bring your guests to and from Wānaka - it's really the only practical way to manage arrivals and parking smoothly. We're happy to put you in touch with an operator who already knows the road.

Elopement package:
Yes - sorting your transport and logistics is part of what we take care of with the elopement package, so you don't need to worry about getting yourselves (and your celebrant or photographer) to the right spots on the day.

Woolshed weddings:
We don't provide any in-house food or beverage - catering is entirely up to you and your caterer to arrange, including any special liquor licence required. We're happy to share names of caterers who know the Woolshed site if that's useful.

Elopement package:
All of our elopement packages include a farmstyle hamper and a bottle of bubbles to enjoy. If you would like to add on a cake to your celebrations we have wonderful vendors in Wanaka who we get these through and can add onto your package.

Woolshed weddings:
For weddings in the Woolshed, we do require a wedding planner, this is essential to the day running smoothly. Your planner sources and books the vendors for your day; we're happy to share names we've worked with before, but the choice is yours.

Elopement package:
We do not have exclusive contractors or vendors and have worked with just about every vendor in the Wanaka area! Our standard elopement package allows you the option to choose and organise your own vendors for your special day while we sort your transport and logistics.

Depending on your transport choice you may be limited to the light levels. Helicopters can only fly during sun hours which means you have longer in the evening during summer, and shorter days during the winter. We have more flexibility with the 4WD packages so we can drive you later in the evening if you are wanting a sunset ceremony, or for those early birds a sunrise!
