  • How do I secure my booking?

    We can pencil in a date for your Wanaka wedding hire at no fee and hold for up to 2 weeks. To secure the date, the non-refundable deposit must be paid and signed copy of your contract must be returned to us.

  • Do you require a booking bond?

    Yes, we require a non-refundable booking bond of $1,000 excluding GST to secure your booking. This will be returned to you in the week following your wedding.

  • What happens once I have booked?

    Once you have secured your chosen dates, the planning begins. Our event coordinators will work closely with you throughout the planning stages. Having been in this industry for over 20 years we have accumulated a wealth of knowledge.

  • Do you have wet weather contingency plans?

    Any wedding outdoors can be tricky! If you are wanting the perfect day for your elopement, we recommend staying in Wanaka for a few days to allow for a spare weather day. This means if you have a helicopter booked that is unable to fly due to weather, we can rebook your elopement to the next best day that week. Our Luxury 4WD is also another option if the helicopters are unable to fly due to high winds.

  • What is the maximum number of guests?

    We fly in Squirrel Helicopters which can seat up to 6 people dependent on weight and balance of the helicopter. Our Luxury 4WD can also seat up to 6. If you have more than 6 people within your bridal party, guests attending and vendors (don’t forget to count your celebrant and photographer/videographer!) we are able to add on additional helicopters and 4WD to your package.

  • Do you provide on-site catering?

    All of our elopement packages include a farmstyle hamper and a bottle of bubbles to enjoy. If you would like to add on a cake to your celebrations we have wonderful vendors in Wanaka who we get these through and can add onto your package.

  • Can we choose our vendors or do you work exclusively with a certain set?

    We do not have exclusive contractors or vendors and have worked with just about every vendor in the Wanaka area! Our standard elopement package allows you the option to choose and organise your own vendors for your special day while we sort your transport and logistics. Our bespoke packages we work with you to book the best vendors to suit your vision and personalities with our guidance, after all you will be spending a few hours together!

  • What time of day do we need to hold our Elopement Wedding?

    Depending on your transport choice you may be limited to the light levels. Helicopters can only fly during sun hours which means you have longer in the evening during summer, and shorter days during the winter. We have more flexibility with the 4WD packages so we can drive you later in the evening if you are wanting a sunset ceremony, or for those early birds a sunrise!
